How do you prove extracurricular activities?

QUESTION: How do you prove to colleges which extracurricular activities you have done? Signed, Involved

Dear Involved: The extracurricular activities you list on your college applications are all taken by admission officers as on the honor system. Admission officers will assume that if students think they deserve to be admitted, they will not jeopardize their standings in the admission process in any way, especially by lying on the application. However, if there is something particularly outstanding that you would like to list, such as organizing a local food drive, consider having one of the people involved with your activity write a recommendation, highlighting your achievement.
