National High School Essay Contest

Purpose:

To encourage thought on issues of international importance.

Eligibility:

Applicants must submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words on a designated topic. The contest is open to all students in grades 9 to 12. Applicants must submit essays online. Selection is based on understanding of the issue, ability to grasp global implications, originality, ability to establish a convincing argument, clarity and effectiveness, evidence of research and adherence to format and length rules.
