Purpose: | To help U.S. students pay for higher education. |
Eligibility: | Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and be high school graduates or GED recipients. They must be enrolled at an institution of higher learning no later than the spring semester of the upcoming academic year. American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) staff and board member relatives are ineligible, as are past contest winners. Selection is made by random drawing from the pool of contest entrants. |

How to apply: | Contest entrants must read an informational article on fire sprinklers before taking a ten-question multiple choice test on the material covered in the article. The number of correct responses on the test is equal to the number of entries that will be made in the entrant's name, giving each entrant up to 10 entries to the random drawing that will determine the winners of the contest. |
