Young Naturalist Awards

Purpose:

 

The Young Naturalist Awards is an inquiry-based research competition that challenges students in grades 7 to 12 to complete an investigation of the natural world. It encourages students to explore an area of science that interests them, typically in life science, Earth science, ecology or astronomy.

Eligibility:

 

Applicants must be students in grade 7 through 12 who are currently enrolled in a public, private, parochial or home school in the United States, Canada, U.S. territories or in a U.S.-sponsored school abroad. Each essay is judged primarily on its scientific merits.

Up to $2,500.
