  • Bachelors Active Duty Rate

    CSP offers a special military tuition rate for current Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve Component Service Members, and current Military Spouses of these members. Service Members must provide their Military Duty Orders or a Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) within the last six months of their acceptance to the University. Spouses must provide a copy of their marriage license and their partner’s Duty Orders or LES.

    • Bachelor’s tuition rate for those who qualify: $250/credit
    • Please note: The AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Accelerated Nursing – ABSN students, as well as Veterans, Retired Military, and Spouses of non-current U.S. Military Service Members, are not eligible for this benefit

    *The International Student Fee goes toward providing specialized services to the students while they are studying at Concordia including programming, events, orientation, immigration support and reporting, and student support services.

  • Masters Active Duty Rate

Scholarships, Grants, & Loans

Traditional Undergraduate

  • Academic scholarships are offered annually to all incoming first-year and transfer students. Amounts are awarded based on unweighted high school GPA or cumulative college GPA achievement. These academic scholarships are renewable to degree-seeking full-time traditional, on campus students.  The scholarship deadline is August 1st.     Eligible students are automatically awarded one of the following academic scholarships upon admission:

    • Regents Scholarship (3.9-4.0 GPA): $11,000/year
    • President’s Scholarship (3.5-3.89 GPA): $9,000/year
    • University Scholarship (3.0-3.49 GPA): $7,000/year
    • Concordia Scholarship (2.5-2.99 GPA): $3,000/year
    • Recognition Award (2.0-2.49 GPA): $1,000/year

    *Please note: Scholarship amounts referenced above are for the 2024-2025 academic year and only apply to incoming Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 students.

  • Music Scholarships ($500-$1,000)

    Concordia Music Activity Scholarship 

    • Available to new students enrolled full-time in the traditional undergraduate program.
    • Scholarships are granted to students who register for two credits of music ensembles and/or music lessons (private or group) at Concordia.
    • The scholarship is renewable based on the student’s participation.

    Concordia Music Talent Scholarship 

    • Available by audition to new students enrolled full-time in the traditional undergraduate program.
    • Recipients are required to register for music ensemble(s) and private lessons.
    • Application for Talent Scholarship. The priority Deadline is: February 21

    Theatre Scholarship ($500-$1,000)

    • The Concordia Theatre Scholarship is available to new students enrolled full-time in the traditional undergraduate program.
    • Scholarships are granted to students who participate in various theatre jobs at Concordia, both on and off stage.
    • The scholarship is renewable based on the student’s participation.

    Athletic Scholarship

    • Athletic scholarships are available in all intercollegiate sports offered at Concordia University, St. Paul.
    • Students must be accepted to a degree-seeking undergraduate program at the University and meet NCAA DII eligibility for scholarship consideration.
    • The head coach in each respective sport selects the scholarship recipients and also determines the scholarship amounts.

  • In addition to an academic scholarship and additional scholarships listed below, incoming transfer students may be eligible for the following two scholarships if transferring from a partnered community college.

    Transfer Advantage Scholarship

    Offered to students pursuing a traditional, undergraduate degree that transfers directly from a Concordia partner institution. Students must successfully complete an associate’s degree or MnTC at a partner school. Eligible students are awarded $2,000 ($1,000 annually) at the time of admission.

    Transfer Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

    Recognizes academically qualified transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, transferring into the traditional programs with one-semester minimum membership in Phi Theta Kappa. Eligible students are awarded $2,000 ($1,000 annually) at the time of admission. A transfer student who receives this award must also attend full-time, be degree-seeking, and provide proof of PTK membership.

  • Concordia St. Paul Full Tuition Pell Commitment

    Newly accepted students enrolling in the traditional undergraduate program will qualify for an additional grant which will cover their tuition amount remaining to pay to ensure full tuition by meeting the following criteria:

    • 2.75 cumulative GPA earned at former institution
    • Submitted FAFSA to CSP
    • Pell Grant Recipient
    • Minnesota State Grant Recipient

    This scholarship is renewable with satisfactory academic progress.

    Concordia Legacy Scholarship

    Awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in the traditional undergraduate programs at $1,000 per academic year (fall and spring entry terms only) that have had a family member attend Concordia University, St. Paul. No scholarship application is necessary and is awarded in addition to academic scholarships. Students must be degree seeking and attending full time. The scholarship is renewed if students are maintaining satisfactory progress.

    Lutheran Heritage Scholarship

    Awarded to new freshmen and transfer students at $1,000 per academic year (fall and spring entry terms only).  Scholarships require no application and are awarded automatically if the student is a member of an LCMS congregation. Students must be degree seeking and attending full time. The scholarship is renewed if students are maintaining satisfactory progress. Scholarship deadline is August 1st.

    Military Dependents Scholarship

    Awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in the traditional undergraduate programs at $1,000 per academic year (fall and spring entry terms only) who are dependents, spouses or survivors to veterans and military service members. No scholarship application is necessary and is awarded in addition to academic scholarships. Students must be degree-seeking and attending full time. The scholarship is renewed if students are maintaining satisfactory progress.

    CSP PSEO Scholarship

    Awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in the traditional undergraduate programs at $1,000 per academic year (fall and spring entry terms only). Eligible students must be (or have been previously) enrolled as a PSEO student at CSP. No scholarship application is necessary and is awarded in addition to academic scholarships. Students must be degree-seeking and attending full time. The scholarship is renewed if students are maintaining satisfactory progress.

    Southeast Asian Teacher (SEAT) Program

    The Southeast Asian Teacher (SEAT) Program at Concordia University, St. Paul is open to persons of color with financial need looking to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in teacher licensure programs.

  • Stafford Loan

    (assuming the student is independent on the FAFSA form)

    • Freshman (0 -31 credits) | $9,500 maximum
    • Sophomore (32-63 credits) | $10,500 maximum
    • Junior or Senior (64 or more credits) | $12,500 maximum

    There are two types of Stafford loans:

    • Subsidized (federal government pays interest while a student is in school)
    • Unsubsidized (student pays interest while in school or interest accrues)

    Accepting a Stafford Loan
    To accept a Federal Stafford Loan, please complete the Stafford loan entrance counseling and sign this Stafford Master Promissory Note (MPN).

    Private Education Loans

    If your tuition was not covered fully by Federal Stafford loans and Need-Based Grants, you will need to pay the remainder out of pocket or apply for a Private Educational Loan. There are many types of student loans, and it is important for you to choose the one that best meets your needs. FASTChoice is a tool that helps you to compare lenders and their loan products.

CSP Global Undergraduate

  • Awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in a CSP Global undergraduate program at up to $2,000 ($500/term). Eligible students must be accepted, enrolled, and meet the following criteria:

    • Completed an associate’s degree or the MN Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) at a partner institution
    • Employed at one of our partner institutions
    • Active members within an LCMS congregation
    • Have had a family member attend Concordia University, St. Paul
    • Members of Phi Theta Kappa (one-semester minimum membership)
    • Members of the military, veterans, or spouses not using military benefits

    *Please note: Students enrolled in our Accelerated BS in Nursing and our AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography do not qualify for this scholarship.

  • Awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in a CSP Global program at up to $5,000 ($1000/term). Eligible students must be accepted, enrolled, and be an alumni of the AmeriCorps.

    *Please note: Students enrolled in our Accelerated BS in Nursing and our AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography do not qualify for this scholarship.

     

     

  • To be considered for the CSP Pell Commitment, students should first submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine their eligibility for a Federal Pell and Minnesota State Grant.

    Students who meet the following criteria will be eligible for the CSP Pell Commitment:

    • Incoming first-year or transfer student admitted to an eligible undergraduate program at CSP
    • Federal Pell Grant recipient
    • Minnesota State Grant recipient

    • Have been previously awarded a bachelor’s degree at CSP and are starting a master’s, Ed.S., or doctoral degree at CSP or have been awarded a master’s or Ed.S. degree at CSP and are starting an Ed.D. or Ph.D. program at CSP.
    • Are employed at one of our partner schools
    • Are employed at one of our partnering organizations
    • Are active members within an LCMS congregation
    • Have had a family member attend Concordia University, St. Paul
    • Are members of Phi Theta Kappa (one-semester minimum membership)
    • Are members of the military, veterans, or spouses not using military benefits
  • Awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in a CSP Global graduate program at up to $5,000 ($1000/term). Eligible students must be accepted, enrolled, and be an alumni of the AmeriCorps.

  • Minnesota Child Care Grant is a state grant based on financial need and child care requirements. Must be a Minnesota resident. Read more on the Minnesota Child Care Grant website.

  • Awarded to students in qualified majors who meet the grant’s requirements. Learn more about how to apply and the stipulations of the Federal Teach Grant.

    Qualifying Degree Programs at CSP include (2023-24):

    • Education – Differentiated Instruction
    • Education – Literacy w/MN K-12 Reading Endorsement
    • Family Science
    • Special Education

    *Students must be degree-seeking. Certificate and Endorsement ONLY programs will not qualify.

  • The Southeast Asian Teacher (SEAT) Program at Concordia University, St. Paul is open to persons of color with financial need looking to pursue a master’s degree for an initial licensure (MAT).

  • Stafford Loan

    Graduate students are eligible for Stafford Unsubsidized loans (student pays interest while in school or interest accrues). Graduate students qualify if they have not yet met their aggregate student loan limit.

    Graduate students are eligible for Graduate PLUS Loans. Students interested in this loan must apply through the Federal Student Aid website. Learn more about this loan and apply here.

    Accepting a Stafford Loan

    To accept a Federal Loan, please complete the loan entrance counseling and sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN) for your loan.
