Institutional Scholarships

UC Merced administers several scholarship funds designed to benefit undergraduate students. These scholarships are provided through the generosity of UC alumni, friends of UC Merced, corporations, businesses, professional associations, and UC Merced.
All scholarships that are administered through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office along with the detailed qualifications can be found at https://ucmerced.scholarshipuniverse.com/public/

New Students

For new students, one application does it all! All incoming students are automatically considered for all institutional scholarships administered by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships simply by submitting a FAFSA (citizen/eligible non-citizens) or CADAA (undocumented students) by April 2nd. New students must have at least a 3.25 GPA to be considered for most scholarships. The information provided on the UC Admissions Application along with the financial aid information will be used to determine eligibility.

Continuing Students

Continuing students must submit a FAFSA (citizens/eligible non-citizens) or CADAA (undocumented students) by May 2nd AND a Continuing Student Scholarship Application by March 4th (available online beginning Feb. 1 each year). Continuing students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA as of the end of the prior fall semester to submit the Continuing Student General Scholarship Application.
