Full Time Institutional Awards

(These awards require full time enrollment and completion of the FASFA).

$2000 of Tuition for one year ($1,000 per term). Limited number of awards available.
Qualifications: Immediate high school graduate with ACT Composite of 19 (or comparable score on other approved placement test), 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 Scale for High School Course Work, and full-time enrollment.
Renewal: Renewal by semester, enrollment, and completion of 12 hours per term, 3.25 semester GPA. Maximum award 4 semesters.

$1000 of Tuition for one year ($500 per term) Limited number of awards available.
Qualifications: Immediate high school graduate with ACT Composite of 19 (or comparable score on other approved placement test), 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 Scale for High School Course Work, and full time enrollment.
Renewal: Renewal by semester, enrollment and completion of 12 hours and 2.5 GPA per term. Maximum award 4 semesters.

$800 of tuition for one year ($400 per term) Limited number of awards available.
Qualifications: Student must be at least 22 years of age, a current student with full time enrollment and a 2.50 GPA in the preceding semester. Preference is given to students not eligible to receive a Pell grant through Federal Financial Aid.
Students entering their final semester and requiring less than 12 hours to graduate may be awarded if the 4-semester maximum has not been exhausted. In this case a student must be registered in at least 7 hours to be awarded.
Renewal: Evaluated on a semester-by-semester basis, enrollment and completion of 12 hours and 2.5 GPA per term. Maximum award 4 semesters.

$1,500 of Tuition for one year ($750 per term) Limited number of awards available.
Qualifications: Immediate high school graduate who is recognized as an Arkansas Scholar by the Arkansas Business and Education Alliance and is not receiving an institutional award of greater value. Verification of recognition must be provided by the student.
Renewal: Renewal by semester, enrollment and completion of 12 hours and 2.5 GPA per term. Maximum award 4 semesters.

Tuition and mandatory fees for one 3 hour course.
Qualifications: Graduate from the SEARK Adult Education program within the previous calendar year.
Renewal: Upon completion of the first semester with a “C” or better GPA, a second 3 hour course scholarship for tuition and mandatory fees will be awarded in the following semester.

Qualifications: High school 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who participate in one of the fall or spring high school preview days. Participants must register for summer course(s) following the spring semester of the same academic year they attended the Preview Day.
Scholarship for 10th and 11th graders: 3 hours of tuition and mandatory fees, redeemable in the upcoming summer term.
Scholarship for 12th graders: up to 6 hours in mandatory fees - 3 hours redeemable during the summer term (following graduation) and 3 hours redeemable in the subsequent fall term.
Renewal: Upon completion of the summer course with at least a 2.0 GPA and full time (12 hour) enrollment in the subsequent fall semester.

3 hours of tuition (estimated value $330) per semester.
Qualifications: Full-time state, municipal and/or county public safety officers and firefighters within SEARK’s six county service area or full-time officers of correctional institutions employed within Jefferson County. Certification of qualifications are approved through the Student Advocate Office.
Renewal: Recertification of qualification is required each semester and coordinated through the Student Advocate Office located in the Student Services Building. Students must maintain a 2.0 semester GPA. Unlimited renewal.

3 hours of tuition (estimated value $330) per semester.
Qualifications: Full-time public and private school district faculty and staff within Jefferson County. Certification of qualifications are approved through the Student Advocate Office.
Renewal: Recertification of qualification is required each semester and coordinated through the Student Advocate Office located in the Student Services Building. Students must maintain a 2.0 semester GPA. Unlimited renewal.

3 hours of tuition (estimated value $330) per semester.
Qualifications: Active Duty or have a DD214 showing Honorable Discharge. Certification of qualification approved through the SEARK Veteran Services Office.
Renewal: Recertification of qualification is required each semester and coordinated through the SEARK Veteran Services Office located in the Student Services Building. Students must maintain a 2.0 semester GPA. Unlimited renewal.
