Scholarships

We offer various institutional scholarships to support our newly admitted and continuing students. Opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate students and are generally based on strong academic work and a commitment to public service.

We also offer scholarships to support students interested in studying abroad, conducting student research and presenting at professional conferences. Most are open to all John Jay students, regardless of residency/immigration status.

Generally, a scholarship will not reduce entitlement aid such as a Pell Grant or NY State Grant but may reduce loans, federal work study or other scholarships depending on the individual situation and in consultation with the student.

Any combination of scholarships and other awarded aid cannot exceed the cost of attendance.
