An education at the New York School of Interior Design is one of the most valuable investments you will ever make.

For many students and their families, the costs associated with college are a great matter of concern. That is why we make an effort to make a NYSID education more affordable. The Office of Financial Aid is here to help guide you through the process.

U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are matriculated and in good academic standing are eligible to apply for Financial Assistance by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. There are financial aid programs for both full-time and part-time study, as well as a number of scholarship resources. International students are eligible to apply for institutional scholarships.

How to Apply

All applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our school code is 013606.

This single application will be reviewed with regard to a student’s eligibility for Federal grants, loans, and work study program. If you are a New York State resident, when you submit the FAFSA you will automatically be prompted to complete the TAP grant application.

All students who apply for financial aid will be notified of their eligibility via regular mail and email. Students may log in to their NYSID Portal to view updates to their financial aid status.

Scholarship Programs

Incoming and returning students are eligible to be considered for institutional aid in the form of scholarships or grants. An application must be submitted each academic year for consideration. To be considered, students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and/or meet the specific criteria defined by the scholarship and have no violations of the NYSID Student Code of Conduct.

It is expected that awarded students are enrolled full-time (12 or more credits) unless otherwise noted in the award descriptions.

Scholarships awards are determined by a committee appointed by the NYSID President.
