The city of Chicago is known as many things, one of which is “The City That Works”. As worker’s compensation lawyers based in a city with such a strong workforce, our team at Costa Ivone, LLC prides ourselves in helping individuals who have been injured while on the job so they can continue to support themselves and their families. While we work hard to help our clients in the courtroom, we are always looking for ways to help others in our community to continue contributing to the workforce of Chicago. To do this, we started The City That Works Scholarship.
This scholarship will award one student $1,000 who shares the best response to why their current job or future career path is important to them, as well as how they believe it helps improve the lives of others. Our goal with this prompt is to get students thinking about how their career not only benefits them, but also how it benefits their community. As the city that works, our workforce consists of many individuals who together make our city what it is. By offering this scholarship, we hope to help one student be one step closer to funding their education to become a valuable part of their city’s workforce.
The recipient of The City That Works Scholarship will be chosen during the month following the scholarship deadline.
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must email all application materials (including their essay, transcript, and resumé) to costaivonescholarship@gmail.com by July 31, 2023. Any applications sent after this date will not be considered.
