Eligibility: Applicants must live in New England and/or be members of NETC and submit a full-length play written for a young audience. The play must not have been previously published, previously produced by a professional company or submitted to the Harris competition. Students may only submit one play. There is a $20 processing fee.

Eligibility: Applicants must live or attend school in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont. This requirement may be waived for playwrights who have previously lived in New England and produce material relevant to the area. They must submit a full-length play that is an original work and has not been produced or published.

Eligibility: Applicants must submit their application to the University and indicate on their application their interest in the award. Students must prepare and submit five poems; two short stories; a chapter from a novel; two personal essays; and/or three examples of literary journalism: reviews of books, movies, music, etc. and be uploaded to their application status portal. Awards will be determined by the Creative Writing department.
Eligibility: Nominees must be qualifying literary artist nominated for their outstanding work based on the submission of an un-published manuscript in-progress. Submissions may be in any one of the following literary forms: fiction (novel or short stories), nonfictional prose, poetry and spoken word.

Eligibility: Applicants must be middle and high school students, grades 6 through 12, living in Kentucky or the 812 area code of Southern Indiana. All young writers are encouraged to submit their play to the festival. Every year 8-10 short plays are chosen to produce in The New Voices Young Playwrights Festival, which takes place in April at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
