Eligibility: Applicants must have a doctoral degree in art history or archaeology and be in residence at the museum during the fellowship period. Fellowships are one year long and begin on September 1 of the year after application. All applicants must be Ph.D. candidates, postdoctoral researchers or senior scholars and must submit a specific research proposal that makes use of the museum’s collection. Fellowships are awarded based on funds and resource availability.
Elizabeth Carter Scholarship in Archaeology $1,000

Eligibility: Applicants must be women enrolled at the advanced undergraduate (junior or senior) or postgraduate level in archaeology and have chosen archaeology as their profession. Students must be currently enrolled in school or admitted to a school in order to apply. Applicants who are completing their degree during their current term are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in a North American Ph.D. program and have projects based on archaeological, ethnoarchaeological or paleoenvironmental research in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The award is offered every other year.
Sponsor: American School of Classical Studies at Athens
Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. or Israeli citizens and enrolled in the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Students must be Ph.D. candidates writing their dissertations in archaeology or be recent Ph.D.s completing a project requiring a lengthy stay in Greece.
Eligibility: Applicants must be students who have completed or are currently enrolled in at least two or more courses in Latin, Greek or classics and who indicate a high level of interest in an archaeology program abroad, preferable a Notre Dame-sponsored archaeological tour.
Eligibility: Applicants must be juniors and seniors in the following areas of study: education, health care/services, social work, social sciences, religious studies, and sacred music. Preference is given to racial ethnic students.
