Federal Junior Duck Stamp Program and Scholarship Competition Varies

Eligibility: Applicants must be in kindergarten to 12th grade and submit their artwork to their state or local department. Students must be U.S. citizens, resident aliens or nationals. The first place national winner has their art made into the next Federal Junior Duck Stamp and travels with a parent to the next First Day of Sale event for their stamp.

Eligibility: Applicants must be students at Florida colleges or universities or students from any school whose applications are endorsed by a FOWA member or faculty advisor. They must have a career goal that entails communicating love and appreciation of hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Selection is based on essay, faculty advisor or FOWA member endorsement, scholastic merit and extracurricular activities. Preference is given to journalism and communications majors.

George Montgomery/NRA Youth Wildlife Art Contest Up to $1,000

Eligibility: Applicants must be in grades 1 through 12 and submit an original artwork depicting any North American game bird or animal that may be legally hunted or trapped. NRA membership is not required. Art is divided into categories based on grade level and is judged on effort, creativity, anatomical accuracy and composition.

Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating seniors or recent graduates of Pungo Christian Academy and from any Beaufort County high school who have been admitted for enrollment at an eligible educational institution. Students must demonstrate good character, leadership, commitment to serving the community and a love for agriculture, wildlife and the outdoors. Standardized test scores are not required for this scholarship.
