    Eligibility: Applicants must be African American U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent residents. Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be admitted to and planning to attend an accredited institution that offers culinary arts or food science degrees or certificates. Applicants must be interested in pursuing degrees or certificates in the following careers in the food industry: chef, culinary arts, food sciences, agriculture, nutrition/dietician, restaurant management or related fields. Students must demonstrate unmet financial need and submit the FAFSA.

  • Jerry and Vinetta Hall Scholarship Fund

  • Phyllis V. Roberts Scholarship

    Eligibility: Applicants must be Virginia residents and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students will need to submit a short essay explaining why they have chosen an undergraduate or graduate degree in the field of agricultural sciences, animal and poultry sciences, wildlife conservation or forestry. Applicants should have a goal of helping to address food insecurity in our communities.
